Our first official outing in Germany was last week and began in the beautiful Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Garmisch is an amazing mountain resort town in Bavaria, southern Germany. While there we stayed at the Edelweiss Lodge and Resort. Our 5 days in Garmisch included hiking, biking, water rafting, boating & swimming. Garmisch is also home to the highest mountain in Germany, the Zugspitze.
Now to share what is probably an obnoxious amount of photos!

| Biking to the Partnach Gorge |
| Short Stop to check out a waterfall. |
| Hiking the Partnach Gorge - it was breathtakingly beautiful! |
| Flat Water Rafting! |
Look closely .... HC is holding a river snake while Hank shows it some love!
| Later that evening we were blessed to link up with our old 10th Group Chaplain. Brad and Lori Tripp are good friends from our days at Fort Carson. They treated us to dinner in town & later in the week grilled steaks and ribs at their lovely home! |
| View from our restaurant seating, the Zugspitze. Hank is playing on the swing set with the Tripp's son, JB. Much to our surprise the restaurant was Serbian! HC was able to polish up on his language skills and earn quite a few cheers from the local Serbians! |
What we saw while biking around Garmisch:
| The Zugspitze - 2,962 meter above sea level and the highest peak in Germany. |
| Lake Eibsee, Garmisch. Famous for "Fish on a Stick!" I played it safe and had the beef goulash ;) |
Thanks for checking out our photos! We feel super blessed and thankful to have had this time together as a family in such an amazing, beautiful place.

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.
